Milt’s cleaning experience began more than 60 years ago working at Hollyway Laundry & Dry Cleaners, his father ’s business in Echo Park.

After an illustrious career of running innovative, customer-service-based cleaning businesses in Los Angeles, he retired in 1985. But retirement was not to be for a man with “cleaning solutions” in his blood! Milt came out of retirement in 1989 to consult with the owners of Regal Cleaners and eventually purchased the business and renamed it Milt & Edie’s, a loving tribute to his wife of 51 years, Edie. Now, with a fantastic location in the heart of Burbank’s Media District, Milt was free to weave his decades of cleaning, marketing and promotional expertise into an experience no customer can forget.

Walking into the magenta-awninged cleaners, customers are immediately greeted by the aroma of freshly-popped popcorn (available all day and night) and a smiling maitre d’ who directs them to one of Milt & Edie’s nine counters. With every employee on call, there is virtually instant service, thereby nearly eliminating waiting in line. For the moments that anyone spends at Milt & Edie’s, they are treated to pleasant music videos playing on a plasma monitor, free candy at each counter, and complimentary refreshments served throughout the day — from coffee and tea in the morning to cheese, crackers and cookies in the afternoon.

For anyone needing tailoring services, Milt & Edie’s is THE place to go as tailors are available every day of the year. With up to nine tailors on staff, there are typically three to four tailors available from 7am to 11pm, and Milt’s goal is to have a tailor available every hour of every day. With so many tailors available, Milt & Edie’s offers “instant” alterations at no extra “rush” charge!

Of course, clean clothes are what people want and that’s exactly what they get from Milt & Edie’s. Besides having state-of-the-art equipment and professional staff, clothes are cleaned using the most environmentally-friendly systems and cleaning solutions available today. Two-hour cleaning and four-hour shirt laundry is available at no additional cost thanks to having a full dry cleaning plant and shirt laundry on premises.
